4. Back to forests?                               written by Alexandros Voulgaris

Forests are like the heart and the lungs of the earth and it's our responsibility to keep them safe and take care of them. In our days the significance of forests is an issue that many people have forgotten.
Felling and fires are the biggest evidence, which show us that people don't care about the forests any more. Not caring about nature’s life means that we don't care about our own lives. We are part of nature and if nature isn't safe then we aren't safe either. And when I say "we" I mean the whole planet, with its flora and fauna. We all know how to protect the forests, but I have a strong feeling that we have forgotten how important forests are for us.
Relaxation, serenity and breather are only few of the things that we gain from a walk in a forest. Looking up and coming across with a blue and clear sky, like a never ending ocean, listening to the birds singing and enjoying the green element, are important things that we miss more and more every day, especially now in our critical and hard days.
Are forests our next home destination? Maybe yes and maybe no. Are we ready to go back to nature and leave the grey and dark cities? Can we do that or not? Only future can answer these questions.
But after all, we should still remember that forests are here for us, to protect us and keep us alive. Why turn our backs on them? Remember: Forest for all, all for forest.

5. In nature’s palette…                                      written by Stefania Nikolaidou
I step on your soil and I can breathe…
I walk on your paths and I can feel…
I look at you, spring of forgotten beauty, and I can live….
You move your twigs in the tone of every light breeze,
You paint the silence with your million whispers…
The water flows in your thirsty hug…
The trees grow old like mother-nature has taught them...
How beautiful you are under the colour of the early sky…
This sky that looks like a rose at the end of May…
Take me in your caves and let me sleep on the blanket of your leaves in fall…
Take me in your morning mist and let me follow some butterflies in the journey of their lives…
You became the landscape of the greatest narrators, the shelter of children in their sleep…
Inspired artists tried to capture your shape in a cold October day…to describe your gestures…to hear your voice…
But none of them know that the imagination you hide is the beginning of their creation…
Don’t let us destroy you my lovely forest…the power of your soul can win…
Don’t let us burn the life inside you…the fire in your heart is even brighter…
Don’t let us take your colours away…you must be yellow like the glorious sun…red like the rebellious blood….white like the dove of freedom….
